Description
The RedBoard Artemis takes the incredibly powerful Artemis module and wraps it into the familiar, easy-to-use Uno footprint. Think of it as just another Arduino, but one that features BLE 5.0, runs at 48MHz (with a 96MHz turbo mode), and boasts 1MB of flash memory—all while consuming less than 1mA. You know, no biggie! This board is the perfect entry point for makers who want the power of a modern Cortex-M4F and the ability to run TensorFlow models without leaving the comfort of the Arduino ecosystem.
Ease of Use
Building on the legacy of our reliable RedBoard line, we have equipped this version with improved power conditioning and a USB-to-serial conversion to ensure that "time-to-first-blink" is less than five minutes, regardless of your experience level:
Arduino Core: We wrote the core from scratch to be lightweight and fast, making programming the Artemis as familiar as typing Serial.begin(9600) in the Arduino IDE.
Modern Connections: Includes a reversible USB-C connector for easy programming and a Qwiic connector for instant, solder-free I2C sensor integration.
Machine Learning & Advanced Features
Beyond the basics, the RedBoard Artemis is purpose-built to help you explore the cutting edge of embedded development, featuring dedicated hardware hooks that facilitate everything from low-power optimization to AI experimentation:
Voice & AI Ready: An onboard digital MEMS microphone allows you to experiment with always-on voice commands and TensorFlow Lite machine learning models right out of the box.
Pro-Level Tools: For advanced users, we’ve exposed the JTAG connector for professional debugging and added a convenient jumper to measure current consumption for low-power optimization.
Low-Power Flexibility: To fully test the module's efficiency, we included a footprint for a 20mm coin-cell holder (CR2032). When properly isolated, the Artemis can run for weeks on a single battery!
The SparkFun RedBoard Artemis is the ideal platform to "kick the tires" of this amazing module, offering a robust starting point before you potentially scale down to our Nano or ATP versions for your final integration.
