Features

A central hub: A hexagonal brass or copper disk where heat is applied. Five radiating rods Equal in length and thickness, these rods are made of different metals, such as copper, aluminum, brass, mild steel, stainless steel, nickel, or iron. Small wells/recesses: Located at the outer end of each rod for holding a small amount of an indicator material, usually paraffin wax or a matchstick fixed with butter/wax. An insulated handle: Attached to the central hub (often via a sixth rod) for safe handling during the experiment.
