Description

The Markforged FX10 is an industrial 3D printer that can reliably print both continuous-fiber composites and, with an optional upgrade, metal filaments — giving manufacturers a versatile, high-strength tool for production parts.

Features

  • Build Volume: This is larger than many desktop or smaller industrial printers, allowing for quite big parts.
  • Z-layer (vertical) resolution: 125 µm to 250 µm for composite.
  • Composites: Onyx (nylon + micro-carbon fiber), and reinforcement with continuous carbon fiber (including a “FR” carbon fiber variant). 
  • Metals (with Metal Kit): 17-4 PH stainless steel, 316L stainless steel, H13 tool steel, others depending on configuration. 
  • Uses continuous fiber reinforcement for very high-strength composite parts.
  • Build chamber can be heated up to 60 °C, which helps with print quality and reduces warping for larger parts. 
  • Print bed: Machined aluminum + vacuum bed. The vacuum bed helps hold parts during printing.
  • A laser micrometer to measure dimensions during printing and to help with calibration. 
  • A Vision Module (camera) that captures detailed calibration-part images and helps optimize performance.  This helps with in-process dimensional validation / inspection. 
  • Internal material bay holds up to 4 spools, each in its own sealed compartment.
  • Supports automatic material changeover, so the machine can switch between spools without manual intervention.

NOTE: Metal Printing Has Extra Steps: If you use the metal head, after printing the “green part” you need to debind and sinter, which requires additional equipment.
