Description
Description
The Metal X is a revolutionary 3D printer that prints metal powder bound in a plastic matrix to eliminate safety risks associated
with traditional metal 3D printing methods while enabling new features like close-cell infill for reduced part weight and cost.
It’s up to 10x less expensive than alternative metal additive manufacturing technologies — and up to 100x less than traditional
fabrication technologies like machining or casting. Affordable, reliable, and easy to use, the Metal X print system gives you
everything you need to go from design to fully functional metal parts faster than ever before.
INCLUDED:
WASH1 and Sinter2
Features
- Uses ADAM (Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing) — metal powder bound in a polymer matrix is extruded like filament, then later sintered
- Heated, vacuum-sealed print bed with auto bed leveling for proper first-layer adhesion.
- Dual-nozzle system: one for the metal-bound filament and one for a ceramic release/support material.
- The ceramic release layer helps with support removal after sintering.
- Compatible with a variety of metals: 17-4 PH stainless steel, H13 / A2 / D2 tool steels, Inconel 625, Copper.
- Uses bound powder filament (metal + wax/polymer) for safe handling.
- Layer (Z) resolution: 50 µm (pre-sinter) and 125 µm after sintering.
- Supports closed-cell infill (triangular) or solid infill, which allows for lightweight but strong geometries.
