Description
This slide presents a stained smear of human blood, allowing students to observe:
- Red blood cells (erythrocytes): Uniform, biconcave, anucleate cells
- White blood cells (leukocytes): Larger, nucleated cells with visible granules or lobed nuclei
- Platelets (thrombocytes): Small, irregular fragments involved in clotting
The Wright’s stain provides excellent contrast, making it easy to distinguish between cell types and study their relative abundance and morphology.
