LEDs - those blinky things. A must have for power indication, pin status, opto-electronic sensors, and fun blinky displays. This is a very basic 5mm LED with red lens. It has a typical forward voltage of 2.0V and a rated forward current of 20mA.
Features
Lens Type: Available in both diffused (frosted for a soft, wide spread of light) and water clear (transparent for a focused, brighter light). Forward Voltage (Vf): Typically ranges from 1.8V to 2.2V DC for standard brightness models, or up to 3.4V for some super bright versions. Forward Current (If): A standard operating current of around 20mA (milliamperes) is common. Luminous Intensity: Brightness is measured in millicandelas (mcd), typically ranging from 600 mcd to over 4,000 mcd for super bright models. Viewing Angle: The angle at which the light is visible, often between 20 and 60 degrees, but some wide-angle versions can reach 120 degrees or more. Wavelength: Dominant wavelength is generally 600-610nm. Durability: LEDs are known for being robust, reliable, and having a long operational lifespan.
